    Default Rhododendrons

    Rhodies love the climate and acidic soil here, and through out late spring and early summer they are in bloom in many colours and sizes This drawing was inspired by one growing near by.

    Beautiful Frances, vibrant with lovely detailed texture. Although in the real world I think these make me sneeze a lot

    Thank you Antspants Rhodies don't seem to bother my husband too much and he suffers from hayfever so you never know.

    Thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments. I had a reference photo that I picked colours from and I created a small palette of colours that I used for the drawing. I also used the photo to examine as I was drawing the different parts and pieces.
