Hi Rik,
I personally think the 'gray' splash screen is very clever. Great design.

Thanks for your comments, Ed.
Even though I like the one in Post #11, the Grey one is still the one that I have on my system!
I may change my mind though!

Thanks for your comment, grey.
I like doing that kind of stuff.
Haven't seen you here for ages.
Where have you been hiding?

I like those splashscreens, but how do I apply one in DPX ? I tried replacing the splashscreen.bmp in the bitmaps folder, while renaming the original one. However, when I start DPX, I still get the original splashscreen.

Guy go to the Xara folder and select your program and open that folder, open bitmaps folder and rename the splashscreen to something else then put your new splash screen there and name it splashscreen. You can make your own, I did and I like it.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
That's exactly what I did Larry, and I kept getting the original screen at startup, even after rebooting... Looking again, I noticed I called it splashsreen (with a c missing...). It's ok now. Thanks.

ah, the trouble these tipos cause
sadly that sounds like removing the file will not supress the splash completely - ah well...
