Default Tables in Xara Web Desing

    Hi,

I have been using Dreamweaver for a now and we need table feaures for our website because we use them to type specification for products. Can anyone suggest how can I use Xara products if I need columns and row functions. For a clearer picture of what I am asking, please visit this link or visit our website at: http://www.intro-sino.com.sg/hp_desi...130_specs.html

I am now using a trial version before making a decision.

    Thanks in advance.

Xara isn't HTML editor so you don't have anything like Dreamweaver internally.
All designs are made graphically and converted to HTML when you publish (or preview)

Many people have asked about tables and the methods range from drawing them graphically in Designer, importing a Word or excel created tables or even pasting HTML tables into a placeholder, but of course that's not WYSIWYG.

There are on line table makers that generate HTML for pasting into your Xara doc.
    Such as: http://www.quackit.com/html/html_table_generator.cfm

    or

Thank for the reply and help. Unfortunately, I am new to using Xara products and is not sure about how to use the placeholder function but will definitely give it a try.

    Thanks again.

I'd say you were 'fortunate' to have found Xara
Once you get the hang of the basics, you'll find it a breeze and fun to use.

I've recently discovered that Microsoft Excel can export worksheets as web pages (HTML). You could create your table with Excel, save it as a web page and then embed the web page with an iframe. I haven't tried this yet, but I think it might work.
