Default How to close a pop-up manually in Designer Pro X?

A new feature allows you to uncheck Close pop-up automatically in layer properties. This allows me to have the popup display when a user presses a button. But I can't find a way to close it. The help file describes a close button but I don't see one, and I can't figure out how to make my own.

Ah, I see where I went wrong. I created a black box with 50% opacity to try to grey out the page behind my pop-up layer. Apparently the close button positions itself to the top-right of the largest object on the layer.

    So two follow-up questions:

    1) Can I override the pop-up image with my own?
    2) Is it possible to grey out what's underneath the layer? Perhaps by popping up 2 layers on a click?

Create the popup layer with the name ?????(lock)
The link is set with auto close on
Make your own close link with popup: close in the link field
