Photo Gallery - Flash or Java?

Given the recent Adobe statement regarding Flash, does anybody have a view as to whether it would be better to create galleries using Flash or go to Javascript? I appreciate that flash will be around for some time but, in the case of a new site, I wonder whether it would be better to go straight to javascript.

Given the influence Apple has over iOS I would go with Java, especially with all the iPads and iPhones out there.

Yes, my thoughts entirely. There are a myriad of such javascript apps out there, do you have a favourite? I've tried a few but not really sure which way to go. As an aside, I gave up on the demo, took the plunge and bought Web Designer 8 yesterday and have to say I am very pleased with the product. Lots and lots of little wrinkles though that will take me some time to get to grips with. Thanks for your help so far, by the way.

You're right of course. It's just my laziness when writing, I was referring to javascript galleries specifically.

Do you know how to programme in other languages suchas C# or Visual basic? If you do then any class will work for you. If you don't most classes will take you out of your depth very quickly.
