Default How to blur partial part of a photo?

    Hi everyone,

Recently, I upgraded to xara photo and designer 7, i cut off a part of a photo and pasted it on a white document, is there a way to blur a partial part of a photo, in other words by selecting multiple points under the shape tool and blur them ?

    Thank you for your help!

You might be able to do this with transparencies.

Create a clone of the image. Blur the clone with the Photo Tool, then apply a circular transparency. Move the center of the circular transparency.

If necessary, clone the clone and move the center of the transparency.

    Use the mask tool:
menu "Window"-> show mask (Ctrl+M). Draw with the pencil tool the area you want to blur, go to the "Enhance photo" tool and in the infobar select the blur/sharpen control (the one with a shaded triangle pointing to the right) Type a negative value or use the slider to achieve the desired effect.

Excellent suggestion Michael. Why did I not think of that? Probably because I never use the Mask Tool.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
