Default HSV color model in RGB thinking

Hi for everyone, I would like to be more familiar with the HSV color model in the color editor, could you maybe advise what is its logic exactly in RGB thinking?

For example if I select the red color that is 255 Red, 0 Green, 0 Blue in RGB, until that I am clear that in HSV the first value so Hue is a degree and the red is 360.

But not sure in the Saturation, increasing it as I perceive it is decreasing the 255 Red until reaching 0 so Black?

Also checking the Value, increasing that as I perceive parallelly add Green and Blue on the same levels?

    thanks,
