Photo captions changed multiple photos

Hi everyone, when I change, the caption, of a selected photo in gallery 2, the caption is changed in three photos.
The same caption gets typed, as I type caption for the one I select.
I realize this is something elementary for members here, but I am trying to build my first Web Designer MX 8 site,
and this is driving me nuts.
Please have mercy and point me in the right direction.

Hi Robertg welcome to TG

It may be that you are selecting the group of thumbnails rather than individual images. Hold down the CTRL key when you click the one you wish to change the caption on.

In WD MX, only Gallery 1 or Gallery 6 appear to have captions. Is 1 or 6 the Gallery you refer to?

In Gallery 1 & 6, to change the default captions, just use the text tool then select the text to change. No need to un group or ctrl+select.

Sledger, Gallery 2 is the next page from Gallery 1, not from another template.
