    Look in Page Options > Tune-ups.

    There is not a lot you can do really. If you are working with a lot of photos you can optimized the photos. If you have an image for print and the dpi resolution of the image is 800dpi, Optimize the image for 300dpi. normal commercial print resolution. Many digital photos are much higher resolution than you need. Save your work frequently and shut down DP7 and then restart from time to time. This frees up some memory.

    Also remember that Xara Designer Pro is a 32bit application which cannot make use of more than around 2Gb of your memory.
    However, follow this post for some help with this;

    Steve I know you post is based on the old thread by Xhris in your link. However Xhris' post was not accurate. A 32-bit system has the ability to physically address 4GB. Of course if a 32-bit system has 4GB of RAM not all of it will be addressable as Memory due to the video card mapping to some of the address space. http://www.zdnet.com/blog/hardware/c...confusion/3124

    If a 32-bit system is equipped with Physical Address Extension (PAE) or Address Windowing Extension (AWE) in the case of Windows more than 4GB can be useable. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension

    I think Xhris was referring not to the OS system limits but the 32bit application limits, which appears to be 2Gb for each 32bit process, according to MS
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...(v=vs.85).aspx

    In any case, the utility linked to by Xhris's post does work and helps Xara use more memory.

    When I used it with Designer Pro 7 and Web Designer Pro 7 the >2GB was already checked. Does this mean that the software is already written to access more memory? Or does this reflect the last modifications I made?

    Thanks Steve for pointing that out.

    Gary I think Xara has purposely set that attribute. I had not downloaded the CFF Explorer before tonight and it shows that Designer Pro 7 can already access greater than 2GB.
