I have just purchased the upgrade to WD8 Premium from WD7 Premium

Many of the items that were in the design gallery for WD7 are just not there in WD8 eg Widgets.

There are many other features not there as well.

Can you please explain where i can get them?

The Designs Gallery has been reshuffled in Web Designer MX Premium. The widgets are there, but now re categorised under the 'Page Elements' folder.

Are all the features of the Design Gallery of WD7 in WD 8?

Web Designer MX Premium designs gallery has most of what earlier versions had, though there are differences and additions.
Yes, the Template packs you purchased can be used, you will need to add them via the 'Disc Designs' button.
