I would like a little more info on the Automatic page resizing, as it seems to be AWOL in the help files.

    • So if f I create a stretchy panel and then right click it and chose push I can have it automatically resize the page as it grows?
    • Can I do this with a text box?
    • And say I have my stretch panel in the center of the page do I set all the elements beneath it as fixed to keep their relative postions to the bottom of the page?
    • If I have a stretch panel that stretches horizontally as well will that automatically push the page wider?

ah so it is in the footer section. Thanks Bill, that is what I was looking for. Curiously there is a section in "getting started labeled Automatic page resizing that is empty. I thought that is where I would find this.

Anyway I'll read through that section on push objects and hopefully that should answer my questions.

    Hi Gary,

Yes please! I'm trying out Xara Web Designer MX Premium, working on a website that has pages of different lengths. When I check the website in my browser, the short pages are centered on my screen (horizontally but also vertically) and the long pages (obviously) start at the top of the screen. But I want all of my pages to start there / at the same position so that the headers appear in the same place on each page. I can't find where I can change these settings, so I'd be very grateful if you could help me out.

    Thanks, Sandra

    Hello Sandra

Right click on the page then select Page Options.

Remove the check mark from [ ] All Pages in Website Are the Same Size.

    Hi Gary,

No, it's not that; I already checked that and there's no check mark there.
    Anything else I can try?

    Thanks again,
    Sandra

    Hello again,

Never mind Gary, I found that all my pages had different zero-points (if that's a word), no idea how that happened but everything's fine now!
