    Default Putting Text in Text

    Hi all!
This is probably has an easy answer, but I've been searching the internet for a while to figure it out to no avail.
I'm trying to design sweatshirts, and want to do this http://www.photoshopessentials.com/p...nside-text.php
    but in a Illustrator version.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks a million!

You don't mention which version of Illy you have, but I don't think it is any different. In the attached image, I used a enlarged letter T

    1. Type your letter
    2. Convert the letter to an outline
    3. Ungroup
    4. Select all the paths that are created after ungrouping and release the compound path
    5. Deselct the path
    6. Create Threaded text using the Type Area tool
    7. Click on part of the path. Your cursor should actually now be at the top left of the letter

That's about all there is to it.

    Take care, Mike

If you had wanted to make your text still editable without going to outlines I would have just made 2 linked text boxes and flowed the text in.
    Design is thinking made visual.
