I saw Soquili's beautiful ruby heart in the Xara Gallery Forum and its wonderful glossy ruby translucency made me think of jello. That made me start thinking about drawing a bowl of jello. I said "there's a challenge in that idea".

So how about it? Draw some jello and post it. Jello is fun to eat - drawing it is less fattening.

I don't know if "Jello" is sold worldwide. If you don't know, it is brightly coloured (and brightly flavoured) gelatin dessert. I'm sure such desserts are popular throughout most of the world. If they aren't yet popular in your part of the world, by all means build a factory and produce "Gello" for your market. You'll get rich enough to host a Xara Conference!

Hi Ross,

I couldn't resist making a change to the original in response to your challenge ;-)

Ross,

in Austria (and to my knowledge in Germany as well) there is nothing like Jello.

I know the stuff from visits to the US and I remember liking it a lot. But then again I am addicted to Gummi Bears as well ...

For those who don't know it, I think Soquili hit it quite good. What I'd like to see is a jiggling wiggling Jell-O, cut to cubes ...

Can't do it myself though, I have to make plans for the upcoming factory ..

Here's the easy recipe:
- gelatin powder (food grade)
- lots of sugar
- lots of artificial flavor
- lots of artificial colour

Package the mix (just add hot water to dissolve / topped up with cold water - then refrigerate until set) in little boxes. The store-brand boxes of it here sell for 2-for-a-buck. A very inexpensive dessert but then the ingrediants are very inexpensive too & it doesn't take up much shelf space in the store.

It might be easier to become a distributor of an existing product.

American Jelly is British Jam, and American Gello (sp?) is British Jelly
