Thread: Photo File Size

    Default Photo File Size

    Hi

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to see picture file sizes in Web Designer 7 itself. I know I can go looking for them in My Documents after exporting but is there a quicker way?

    Many Thanks

    Hi Sledger

I am looking for Kb size. I use to use Dreamweaver, hated it but at least it told you the Kb size.

    Thanks

If we are talking about imported bitmaps/photos - then the Kb sizes can be seen in the bitmap gallery (F11).
I suggest you optimize JPG first, save your xara document, close it then reopen it. The size shown in the bitmap gallery will be that of the optimized image.

Name:	optimize.jpg

Size:	16.8 KB

Name:	optimized.jpg

Size:	20.9 KB
ID:	88172

If you have several photos on the same page, you can select the Optimise All option in the Utilities menu.

Name:	optimize-all.jpg

Size:	20.5 KB

Once again, save your xara document, close it then reopen it to see the images size in the bitmap gallery.
