How does one eliminate the file that stores answers to information one keys into text entry boxes when using the browser?

For example, when I fill out a form that requests my name, address, e-mail, etc. an annoying box drops down with suggestions. Some of these are correct and others are not.

Is there anyway to edit this file? And where the heck is it?

I'm using Windows XP Home Edition and Internet Explorer 6.0.

    To erase the information:

    1. Open IE
    2. Select Tools
    3. Select Internet Options
    4. Select the Content Tab
    5. Select the AutoComplete button.

If I had to guess, the information is stored in the registry. It may be easier to turn this off then back on and start fresh then hacking the registry or use this link for a utility to manage this data:

Where you see an erroneous entry appear on the drop down list, highlight it (dont click!) and press delete. Works on IE5.5/W98 not sure about XP until I try it later!

    Hope that works for you!
