Nice drawing Turok, I like it a lot, you really captured the emotion. She looks sad and lonely. Perhap a better title would be "Lonely", or "On the Outside" or something.
I can really relate to this because of what my son had gone through for so many years.

Thanks a lot for your comments Mr.Wizard, really appreciated, and yes, as you suggest "On the Outside" would fit best, but i was trying to draw the scene for a person feelin really lonely inside of him, then suddenly watching through the windows and realized he found hes other lonely half , guess I need to try harder, btw your son just had a bad time gettin used to friends and all that stuff involved in that, i guess is normal, so he'll be fine, thanks a lot my friend. peace

If you posted the file, I would have a go at painting it.
I'm not saying that it would be great, but, I would have a go!

Rik save the .jpg image Turok attached to his first post within this thread.

That is the file to 'color/paint'.

The attached is an example that is partially painted.

My .xar file is also attached.

    Excellent work guys and gals.

I had started to do the same but the lines behind the transparency start to lose their colour and that's why it would have been good to colour in the original.
Well, at least in my opinion.

But I have to applaud your efforts because I started and didn't carry on!

try having two layers with the lines on Rik - one full strength at the top, you usually keep hidden as you work [except for when you check how the overall drawing is looking], and one at the bottom for reference in this case bleached out it bit to make it easier

SAI is a raster painter program - just for interest I've attached a PSD export of the SAI file - should open in xara ok..... and you might find it interesting [sorry but as I was just doodling its a bit rough and ready and I didn't give the layers meaningful names ]

    used a wacom bamboo

note this is a big file 4.31MB - had to zip it, its still 2.66MB

EDIT - by the way which one of us is the 'gal'

    Not I.

Rik I think that Turoks drawing is a scanned pencil sketch. So the posted jpg is the original file.
