    Default Help saving a file from Photoshop to Corel Paintshop Pro

    I have a client who is using Corel Paintshop Pro... I have no knowledge of this program but I do know it has very limited file format capabilities. JPEG seems to be the main format. I created a logo for my client in Illustrator, I brought it into Photoshop and made it a psd file thinking my client had Photoshop and then she could size the logo as she needs to. She is a photographer so the logo...watermark needs to change size and opacity levels per photo.

    I know JPEG does not support transparency and I don't believe Corel supports PNG files. So I'm at a loss... Does anyone know how to save the file so she can use it in Corel??

    HI welcome

    PNG or PSD - it's file format capabilities are fairly wide according to my information [a lot wider than say, corel painter]

    PNG will be a flattened image, but there again preserving the layers might cause problems as PaintShopPro probably does not support all the PSD features of Photoshop layers....

    What version of Corel Paint Shop Pro does your client use?

    I have the X3 version from a few years ago and it imports many file types. Importing a PhotoShop CS file works very well and all the layers are maintained.

    Hi Bill

    what I was actually saying was that:

    if it is not necessary to preserve/maintain layers, a PNG is fine;
    if it is, then be aware that not all layer features of Photoshop are supported by other programs

    Steve you are correct I was only trying to help SnowPea23 see what PSP offers as file types it can open. PSP is one of the few programs I have that actually support PhotoShop layer modes. Jasc wanted PSP to be a poor man's replacement for PS.
