    Default AVI

Is there a way to create a .avi file in Photo & Graphic Designer 7?

I want to create an animation (not an animated .gif) that I can then include in a movie. I see how to set the properties for an AVI file but when I try to export the animation, I do not see the otption to save my file as a .avi. Am I missing something or is there a better alternative for creating an animation that can be included in a movie file?

No AVI export from P&GD7 or DP7. You can export a flash (.swf) animation from both applications.

Actually you can export as .AVI from the 'File>>Export Animation' dialog in P&GD7 and DP7, also WD7P

That is what I thought. Why do they include the AVI settings?

If I export as a .swf I cannot include in mov=st movie editing tools. Am I stuck with an animated .gif and if so, can I control the transitions the way you can in a .swf?

My ultimate goal is to include some animations I create in a movie file. Am I off base here?

I never noticed that menu option before (File > Export animation). Learn something new everyday.

For the benefit of others, I suspect you discovered that you need to have an animation document and something to export first?

Like Bill I never noticed that option in the file menu before either. Just goes to show that there is always something new to learn!
