how do you make a seemless bevel whereby you cannot see the edge of the item being beveled? ie., say you have a rectangle and you round the corners. next, you want a bevel applied but you want the image to have a sizable bevel but there be no noticable difference between the edge of the original rectangle and the new bevel. your help is very much appreciated. kiley.simpson@netmatrix.com

as attached? This was done by setting the line and fill to the same colour, and then using the Rounded bevel.

I am not sure if I understand correctly but I think that you might mean what I have put in my image. Depending what colors you use for the bevel you sometimes get that ring around the shape that you are beveling. That is with the slider type set to "Contrast" . If you change the slider type to "Light Elevation" and adjust the slider you can make the bevel smoother, like in the second part of my image. I don't know if that is what you meant but I hope it might help.

Kiley - Further to what Simon says, try adjusting the 'light elevation' setting. It defaults at 45 degrees but by sliding it down to say 30 degrees the bevel can look more seamless. (The little bit of distinction you may see in Simon's example could have been eliminated with the light elevation slider). Thankfully for all but the most complicated tasks (ie hundreds of bevels at once for instance) the beveling sliders are interactive - move them and observe the results in real time.
