Jim changes made to Xara applications has made those function redundant. They will no longer be available in future versions of XaReg.
In the past Xara stored information for the Galleries in the Registry but that is no longer the case.

Last XaReg update
Hi Bill,
Ok now I understand...when I first experience it I was still running my 'download' version and thought maybe that was the reason, but I recently installed my CD version and the same response. But now I know everything is working as it should.
Thanks

Hi Bill
here's one I just recently discovered:
after moaning for a quite a while about twice-clicking ESC resetting attributes, I now find you can actually turn this off
"there is a heppy lend - fur fur awa-a-ay"
.. and I've just discovered that using some of the extended forum smiles means everything I type thereafter is ingnored when I post- firefox 14 [possiby a noscript thing]
.. anyhow as I was saying:
....Options\Attributes\ClearCurrentAttrs - the default value is 1, change this to 0 to prevent the attributes being reset on second click
maaybe new to ver 8, or maybe [yet again] I need new glasses..![]()
"there is a heppy lend - fur fur awa-a-ay"
PS - a point to note [which also got lost in my previous post] for anyone trying this out - it will affect the way the shape builder/eraser tools work, specifically the 'screen pixel' function may be 'over-ridden' if line attributes are carried over
