Vector Graphics

Hi All,
I am a newbie to chat and to many web related topics. The last time I was a newbie was before Computers were used.
So please understand that I am not always sure about what I am asking.
I am looking for Free graphics to use in a few projects for my part time business. I use Xara mainly to combine photo's and Text for Headers on web sites that I create for small businesses. I do not want to steal anyone's work and therefor I try to find those who are artistic and supply graphics freely. More than willing to give credits. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler. Are there places where I can find Elegant scrolls and borders that I could use on wedding and other projects. I may be asking too much, but being retired and not wanting to just sit around doing nothing, I can't afford too much.

I hope this chat room is the right place for this question. If not I would appreciate other input

Beware that free is not always free. Often free downloads can install applications on your computer for a variety of reasons and not all of them honorable.

There is quite a lot of free vector clip art included in Xara Photo and Graphic Designer 7. Look in the Designs Gallery > Clipart folder.

If you do decided to download free clipart, read the terms and conditions thoroughly to make sure that you are not agreeing to anything you don't wish to agree to.

Is there any kind of clip art subject matter you are looking for?

I think the clipart folder as Gary suggested may have some.

You can also find some very nice clipart right here on Talkgraphics. Check out our clipart gallery All images in the clipart gallery are generously donated by TG members and a lot of them are .xar files that you can drop right into your Xara document!

Here is a couple of scrolls, two of many variations, that I've been making to use on drink labels which is a current project I'm working on.
If they are the sort of thing you are looking for they are very easy to create for yourself and I'm sure that anyone of a number of people here (including me) would be willing t show you how to if you required.

Thanks for the reply. I am only using those witha common license and noting thier names or websites to list as credits. There is nothing worse than some one stealing artwork or programs except the ones who add viruses.>

Thanks, I might be interested in that idea. Just to warn any who would atempt to teach me, I am far from being an artist. I have enough skills to put together a Header using photo's, basic graphics, and Text. This project requirs elegance and not somthing I could do. If any are interested in knowing what the project is about let me know.
