Long Hair

Hello everybody out there in cyber land. Please can anybody tell me the best method of drawing long hair or direct me to a tutorial that shows how it is done.

Would that be freehand with a tablet [maybe best done outside of xara and imported in as texture] or with a mouse and the old shape tool [not my way]?

I have used these Xara brushes a few time but I can't remember who made them, it may have been Egg! I am sure the person wouldn't mind me uploading them so that you could use them in a non professional way.
