    Default Webster 2 not working.

    Looking for some help.

After installing Xara3D6 and Webster 2 on my new laptop (windows 7) I have found that Webster 2 doesn't work.

I haven't used either of these products for a couple of years and thought it a good idea to try and get back into it.

Whats the reason for Webster not working and is there an alternative product to use, remembering that Webster was free when I bought 3D6.

    Thanks

webster was discontinued a long time ago

the current product closest is xara photo and graphics designer 7

it may be webster does not work under windows 7 - but you can try installing/running it in XP compatibility mode...

Also when it comes to requesting technical support, I think "it's not working" doesn't really say much. Errors?
I'd start a revolution, if I could get up in the morning.

You may need to run Webster 2 in XP mode on your Windows 7 machine.

right click on the shortcut that opens the program in the start menu [or wherever] and click on 'properties' - this should open a dialog box, click on 'open file location' button - this will open windows explorer with the program file highlighted, right click on this and then click 'properties' and then click the 'compatibility' tab on the new dialog box that opens - tick the 'run this program in compatibility mode for' and 'Windws XP ([Service Pack 3) should be displayed in the menu - click ok

it should now run in Xp mode

I've done that OK but I keep on getting these messages when I try to import a picture.

    I get this message first

and then you said 'ok' to the second?
and 'open' to the third ? [a webseter file presumably?]
and you got the fourth? - what happens when you click 'continue' ?

if so you may need to uninstall and re-install under XP compatibility mode - Bill would know more about that than me....
