    I loved Windows NT..

Vista was a complete dog. Win 7 an amazing recovery by M$.

    Nobody even mentioned OS/2!

    ah
.. prior to win 3.1 I didn't have a pc - I had an amstrad but that was CP/M - at work used unix based platforms, which were impressive.... but this is drifting from vista which I never used because the men in white coats [no,no, not those men in white coats, the other men in white coats, from the lab], said it was 'rhubarb and custard' [I think that phrase belongs in another thread ]

I loved OS/2!! But to be honest it was buggy as hell and reminiscent of Vista, or maybe I was just trying to get more out of it than it could handle or was meant for. Most of what I ran in it was Windows-based and resources were sucked up pretty quickly. To be honest, if I'd had 8g of ram to offer it as I have for Vista 64 today, it would probably have behaved very nicely
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

I really don't understand the Vista hatred. I never had much issues with it.

Windows 7 is cool too - even if Windows did remove some useful features and made things more 'click heavy' in places.

Windows Me was the last time I had serious Windows issues... the memory leakage on that. Oh boy.
I'd start a revolution, if I could get up in the morning.
