Hey this was a fun thread (I should actually be working http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif ). All your examples look good but I am missing one thing: when you dip something into thick creamy chocolate there should be an edge showing, also on the sides.

Looks Good. That is what I was trying to get across to Mike. I tried to do it tactfully, but I am still new at that.

Hey, Mike, your chocolate dips are getting better! One thing I've noticed from the entries here is that chocolate has a sheen to it, so you might want to look at your highlights.
Egg, whatever your "dipstick" is, it tells me that the technique for chocolate, plastic and some rubber is very similar. So now I'm wondering, is there something specific that tells us this is chocolate and not plastic, or is it ultimately a question of context?
IOW, if the rest of the stick looks like a pretzel, do I perceive the brown part as chocolate, but if the stick looks like plastic, do I perceive it as rubber?

I'm new to this. IT took me about 20 minutes to create this chocolate bar. I would like to see what the experts could do to it to so that it looks good. I would really like to know how to make the bottom edge look like it is dripping. or bit off. Do you just use the freehand or shape editor tool to create a shape, then fill it in with white?
Thanks for the advice - Meia
