So, I tried the param code with the transparent bit

I edited the page source and cut the object out and it ran in preview fine
I added the line about the transparent but it made no difference once uploaded and F
    I checked with CTRL+F5.

So, next I was wondering about using the code like the lightbox really. I looked at eggs video, can this be used with socusoft as it is similar in its format. ie. add files, theme, publish and has thumbnails in folder etc.

I know you said you were not familiar with that software though.

I may have missed it but in earlier replies in this thread the zip files you uploaded were being discussed, but I can't find a link for it.

What is the URL of the page you have published where this video is inserted so we can see the problem live?

Did you see this support article for how and where to add the transparent properties to the video?
    http://support.xara.com/index.php?_m...articleid=2383

Make sure that you have inserted the wmode property both places because different browsers use different tags to play flash files.

Heres a demo with the menu behind the videos.

Obviously the navbar would extend across the page.

The page is from a template.

    I followed socusoft paste <object>

the second video has multiple vids and xml

I hope you find it an improvement on the last attempt, although the problem still exists.

    thanks for the html link.

I think it has fixed it:- well it has in preview, the swf still sits on top of the menu though but sitsbehind the submenu.

So, great work, thanks, I will upload to site and see now.
