    Default Text Woes

Hey I have almost got my front page completed on my new site.
I worked till midnight lat night on the project. Got all my main links working and typed and cut and pasted text into place where it needed to be...However !
This morning I am back to starting on pages 2-6 and am having trouble placing text.
I am trying on the background and replacing text to no avail..
I get this message " The Object you have created has been added to a layer that is locked or invisible etc:"
Text will not place anymore and when I replace any over the template it goes behind the text block by 1 layer.

    Thx

    Martin

    Hi Martin,

Please check the Page & Layer Gallery to make sure you have the MouseOff layer selected. The background layer is typically used for a color or image only and it is usually a locked layer.

As a former NOF user for as many years, I totally agree.

After only 5 days of working with this software its just keeps amazing me.
I built a site in only 11 hours and it is better than any I created in NOF

    I am a Saint !!

To be fair, I still use NOF for large sites as it is better for managing large sites. Specifically the Site View is much better for adding and moving sections.

But for most of the sites I am doing, Xara is so much better. And I can do everything in one program.
