I would like to announce the recent retirement of beretgascon and his long-awaited replacement by the returning prodigal Xara Evangelist, Big Frank. As they say when a one corporation is swallowed up by another, it's business as usual.

I'd like to offer my sincere thanks to Barbara B. for her graceful acquiescence to my grovelling and snivelling request and I know she will put the cash to good use.

This humble forum has been a home from home for me, on and off anyway, for almost 12 years. I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve (I've been waiting a LONG time to be able to use that excerpt somewhere!). 12 years is a long time in Internet parlance, and for all of that time (longer, in fact) I've been using, stretching and evangelising about Xara. Long may it continue.

beretgascon is gone but not forgotten.

I'm glad your true identity is finally revealed. I suspected that was you for a long time now, but wasn't positive. Then when I said I didn't know your first name you said Frank, then I was a little more certain. Anyway glad you persevered and kept coming back. It's good to have you and your talents here. Let me rephrase that, I'm glad you are here. Did you hear me I'm GLAD! GLAD I tell you! GLAD! Even if I can't spell 'February' correctly!
