I keep losing my flyout tools

This has been a recurring problem. For some reason I cannot get the flyouts to display other tools, such as freehand or rectangle. They are stuck and I just can't seem to get them working again. They work then for some reason they just quit woriking.

This has happened several times before but just choosing a different tool and then going back fixed the problem, but not this time. Any ideas?

Larry have you tried closing the app then starting it again?

I removed all the flyouts and reinstated the individual icons so have not experienced this problem.

I have to confess Larry, one of the first things I did when I reinstalled XPGD7 on win7 [after cursing because the old UI would not render properly on my new monitor at native resolution and I had to stick with the black] was to delete all the flyout menus and use the custom button palette to put all the tools back individually - I did this with all the flyout menus cos they just slowed me down..

not a solution as such, but maybe a way round

you could try the reset button - but that will reset all your bar customisations

Yes Bill I did that more than once since it happened and also restarted my machine but neither did any good.
I will follow the suggestions of you and Steve and use the custom button palette to put all the tools back individually. I need to do something cause I'm in the middle of a rather complex project.

Larry what version of Windows are you running? Do you have XaReg 1.4.4.0?

I can post my .xml file for the toolbars and you can try loading it to get the individual icons.

I had this happen once and I was able to minimize the program window and then bring it up again and everything worked. This was on my older machine.

Well guess what. Ir turns out that the solution was maximizing the window and then they work. If it isn't full screen they don't. I probably encounter this problem by FAT fingering the keyboard or something.
