Nicely done shield drawing but the highlight doesn't look right to me.
Look at this one for example: http://www.thinkstockphotos.com/imag...hield/95385511

If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.
They're going to kill me anyway and I'd love to die the way I lived:
Avoiding Manual Labour.
I think Frank's suggest might be better.
After all the surface is shiny so it probably wound not cut off as I suggested.

Welcome to TalgGraphics, Navin.
About your shield: people are kind of programmed to see reflections from top left. If you would paint a globe, the hi-light is almost always in the top left quarter of it. If you put the highlight bottom right, the human mind sees the image as hollow. It's safe to try it at home - just draw a ball with the right hi lights and shadows, than copy and flip it and see what games your mind plays with it
Look for instance at Gary's avatar image up here: highlights are (mostly) top left, lowlights bottom right.
About the refelection in your shield: the surface is curved (as mentioned above) so the reflection curves as well. And you did forget to change the reflection in the surrounding rim. So now you have two light sources.
