    The Cowboy..

Just couldn't pass it up...I saw this movie
the other night. Sellack at his best...indeed,
as one of the last "Cowboys"!

I had to do it from memory...all in Xara. I
did use a pic (mountain). I could have done
that also, but I really didn't want to spend
    the time on that part.

There are some things I want to change...but
maybe you'd like to see it before it goes to
    the 'hospital'.

    ...cold front goin' through..

Great rendering of the face. I am really envious of your talent. Think that the rifle is out of proportion to figure? 5* drawing this one .

    Gentleman, for comments.

Albacore...what you mentioned is something I had
seen. He was using a 'buffalo gun', I think, not
a Winchester. Those buffalo guns are bigger and
more stocky. However, I still think it is out
of proportion. Like I said, it's gotta go to the
'hospital' for some mayor overhalls. Check it
again, I'm sure you'll see a couple others. If
not I'll mention them. (Was a chalenge to
register the details in a 'movin'picture'!)

    Thanks all!....

Little off on the profile if I remember Tom's handsome profile correctly.

I would LOVE to see a close up of the hand. It looks fantastic from here!! How about it??

    ..Richard for comments.

Like I've mentioned ...it has to go back to
    the 'hospital'..ha.

That profil I got when he was waiting to get
the other guy who had killed his best friend.
He sort of had his lips puckered up..chin tight..
making it look a little shorter. I saw the movie
again and in other scenes his jaw is longer, with
a dimple in his chin. (Remember...the movie is
    MOVING.)
His nose is somewhat closer to his face with
a slight drop at the end...depends if he's
    smiling or straight face.
I've looked at other things I'm going to
    work on...proportion etc.
We'll see what your good suggestions produce.

    ....slightly cool tonight..

    for the close up,

    Hey Bill,

Since I attempted to draw a face, I've been studying you and the other masters on how you do your shadows and highlights. The closeups really help me. I also love your use of color, they all come together in such a perfect way.
I always look forward to your postings.
