Help needed for a newby: Repeating objects

I am using WD6 and am jut starting out.

I have decided (unwisely?) not to use s template but to create my own design from scratch. I have decided to have a repeating photo at the top of each page, a repeating navbar and a repeating text object.

What I have done is:
1. Selected the first page on which I have all of the objects that need to repeat
2. Selected each object in turn and clicked on "Repeat on all pages"
3. Added a new page: only the navbar has repeated, even when I clicked "Update repeating objects.

Where am I going wrong?

I think creating your own site from scratch is a much better way to learn WD6 as opposed to using a template. And more fun (as well as frustration) too.

I believe repeat on all pages is limited to pages already created.

So a new page will only have a Navigation Bar if you specified to link to all pages on your site.

But you can create a template that contains all of your repeating objects, headers, etc.

Then duplicate the page as many times as you want. Add content to each page and change the page name in the Page and Layers Gallery and in the Navigation Bar Properties menu.

Did you name the objects with "repeating:" in the name. You need that to indicate that the object is a repeating object

I think Xara will name the objects accordingly
