I am sure one of the members will respond soon with a solution to the second example. I am almost certain you can not do the first example, an animation within an animation. But if there is a way to do it, Mike and some of the clever members will think of a work around.

the first i know now....

animated gif, separated frame, and import how texture 1 x1...and export each design 1 x 1 .....after make 1 animated gif again....

actually, number 2's not that difficult, albeit a little bit fiddly

create base animation
convert movie clip to gif (i have a little utility that does that, just google it)
separate frames
use mould tool to paste onto the frames of base animation
create new animation
