Question Editing Website : Solution for my clients ?

    Hello,

I am creating websites for my clients with Xara Web Designer.
But when it comes to editing/updating the website, it requires my clients either to contact me or to purchase a license of the software.
I m talking here of simple modifications ( texts, fonts etc...)

Could I design the website with Xara, and they modify it with , say... Wordpress ?

What is the best solution ?

    What would you recommend ?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Raph,

I have the same problem ... I think there have been some threads about this topic and with the latest Xara version it is not possible!

Here's a wacky idea. Clients are the boss, so let them decide!

I include Xara in my price (at MY cost), give them the choice of Xara and WordPress and explain the advantages of each.

    1. Xara is a lot easier for most types of client updates, and allows YOU to give them more features for their own self-editing.

    2. WordPress allows them to more easily manage their SEO, or the many other simple plug-ins.

It never hurts, ever, to show clients and prospects that you always look out for their best interest. And that one should always be a client decision in my view.

If you prefer Xara then, in effect, you are charging more for using anything that takes YOU longer. But your clients decide.

    good response, MD
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.
