Default How can I make a font fatter?

Can anyone tell me how I can make a font bolder/fatter than the standard Bold version that the computer provides? I am doing some title design and really need a bigger contrast between some of the words. Thanks for any input.

Set an outline, same color as the fill, adjust line width to taste. Alternately, apply a Contour. If that leads to the characters being too squashed together, adjust the character spacing. If you're using anything more complicated than a flat fill:
    1. Convert the text to editable shapes
    2. Ungroup
    3. Convert lines to shapes
    4. Break Shapes
    5. Delete excess objects
    6. Group
    7. Apply fill/transparency/whatever.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics

You can add an outline of the same color, though not too much of an outline as it distorts the font design.

Or find a bolder style of the font. Do a Google search for the font name and you should find a source or sources of the font and if there is a bolder style available you can purchase the font.

Alternately, go to www.DaFont.com and see if there is a free font that is close to what you want.

Another method that hasn't been mentioned is the contour tool. select your text and give it at contour and click the inset path button.
