    Default Meters

    OK.
It's not a plane or a car or the most amazing thing you've ever seen but I wanted to draw it.

I'm sure some will remember that there used to be Hi-Fi systems with analogue meters?!
You adjusted the balance, left and right, to get things right...!
You listened to the sound whilst trying to keep an eye on the meters as well.

So, it's more to stir a memory, and not the drawing.

Nice touch Rik having the tips of the needles out of focus giving a terrific illusion of movement. Yes I had an old music centre with balance meters like that but now I’m all digital now !

Yes, that stirred up memories but that is also a terrific drawing. Thanks Rik.

What?! Someone makes stereo equipment without analog meters???

Next you will be claiming they don't use valves inside the stereo.

I feel like Rip Van Winkle.

    Nice drawing Rik.

I'm sorry Bill. Valves went out, at the same time as Flared Trousers!

I'm reliably informed that 'Valves' (Vacuum tubes) are still VERY much alive and continue to be used, for example semi-pro and pro Guitar Amplifiers for one thing. Not seen many people huddled round 'sunburst' radio sets recently though :-)
