    Default Text between two curves

    Hello,

I want to write a text between two curves. When I using the option "fit to a curve" the text follow one curve only.
Bottom curve and top curve have two different shapes.
If I convert to editable shapes the text it is diffucult to follow exactly the curves.
I have a lot of text to write like that.
Did someone have a tip to do that ?

    Thanks in advance.

since I post I found the way to do it by using the mold tool.

    1.write text
2.select mold tool in left tool bar
3.choose a form in top toolbar and move vertex as needed.

So nice when members answer their own questions.

    Thanks for posting the solution.

Can you post an image with the results of the envelope?

In the future, because (in any program I am aware of) text will only follow a single curve, make a single curve of your two curves.

In the example screen shot, two ovals were combined (Add Shapes or CTRL+1) and the lower nodes deleted to leave the line you see. In other words, a node was selected, right-click, break at node and then a few nodes were deleted. However, using the line tool this line with a couple curves could have simply been drawn.

Then the text was applied to the line. I left the line visible so one could see it. Oh, I also used the baseline shift to move the text higher than the line...and I had to add a few spaces in the line of text to move the word "that" out of the tight angle where the two curves were joined.

    Take care, Mike

Thumbs up Re: Text between two curves

Here an example of the text between two lines. Finally it is not between two lines but inside a shape created by the mold tool.
By actionning the vertex or tangent lins you can obtain the shape you want.
