Xaea photo & fraphic designer 6 problem with layers

Hi
I created a layer for drawing a face.Then i created a new layer to color the face and here i drew a line all over the face to color it,
But the color hides the eyes and mouth and ears. When i switched to layer 1 i see the face with no color when i go back to 2 i see the colored face but no eyes etc. What have i done wrong?
Ive seen this video but Zebtoonz didnt have that problem

xara always creates a new layer above [all the] existing ones - sounds like you need to drag the layer 2 below layer 1 [by click-dragging the layer name in the layer gallery]

might be easier to create two layers upfront and then make sure your face is drawn on the top layer and your colouring one the one below
