the software above is now a bargain.
im using it as trial and it appears the freehand tool is a lot better and reliable than x extrem . I like to draw people for my comics with freehand but was getting frustrated as they didnt come off well in xtrem.
i like the clear line of Herge so it appears that it would be worth my 24 bucks.

The best place for tutorials for any Xara software (IMHO) is the Xara Xone. There are over 10 years of tutorials, Guest tutorials, and workbooks. All the drawing tutorials for every version of Xara X, Xara X¹, Xara Xtreme and Xara Designer (not the Web Designer) can be done using Xara Photo & Graphics Designer.
