Default XPGD7 does not recover using EASEUS ToDo 2.5

    FYI really

I've been using EASEUS ToDo to do system image backups for while now as a free alternative to upgrading my Acronis True Image [that I'd used since Y2K up to ver 7]

First time I used it to restore a system partition, since installing XPGD7 [ver 7.1.1.17261 CD Jun 7 2011], when starting XPGD7 I got a [Magix] error dialog box - it would not screen capture, presumably some sort of overlay, and I did not have time to root around extracting it other ways, essentially it said:

The program could not be started, there was possible damage to installation file/folders which a reinstall might fix, otherwise contact support Error Code -6

Not clear what was causing that, so I downloaded a trial of latest Acronis [ver12] and the problem has not so far re-occurred, to date Acronis restores have not resulted in this message and XPGD7 has run ok

[probably a moral here somewhere ]

    OS: XP Home SP3
