Serious Error

All of a sudden I am unable to use Xara Designer Pro. Overnight my PC rebooted (typical periodic Windows updates or something) and today I am locked out of Designer Pro 6. I can open the program, but if I try to do anything on a new or existing file (add a shape, line, text, anything), a "Seerous error from Xara Designer Pro" box pops up stating that there has been an "Access violation exception at 0x0067EA0C." I have closed and restarted Xara, rebooted the PC, but still the same. No way to use the program. I can't find any similar problems in the Xara Knowledgebase or on the forum. Any ideas???

if you are running windows 7 [or vista] first thing to try is right clicking and running the program as administrator [only need do this once]

Thanks for the suggestion Steve. Yes I'm running Win 7 Home Pro 64bit. I ran as admin but ran into same problem.

Have tried rebooting?

Windows 7 did an update last night and I had to reboot my router so other devices could connect to it.
