When I draw a circle in Xara in freehand, it fills in

Hi, all!

Well, I bought Xara Designer Pro 7 the other day, and I'm trying to get used to it. One thing it's doing that really bugs me is that when I draw a circle or an oval in freehand, the circle fills in with solid color! What am I doing wrong?

Hello Toonicorn, simply right click on the empty box next to the eyedropper and select clear fill color. This shows a cleared fill with a black outline.

When you are using the freehand tool there is a button on toolbar that toggles "sketch mode" when this is enabled you can sketch freely without your lines joining and creating filled shapes.

Xara Designer Pro 7 defaults to a solid fill and now outline. After following Larry's advice you will need to right click on a color you want for the Outline by selecting Outline Color from the popup menu.
