I know it's a bit early. So, that should give you enough time to contemplate things!

Couldn't resist having a go at this after the South Africa logo.
This had some challenges and I tried to solve them in my own way!
Not necessarily correct, but they were my solutions!

What was the biggest challenge?
Why not have a guess?!!!

Hi John.

I'm afraid you are not correct. The eye and the constellation wasn't too difficult.

Here is the 2014 part of the logo, which is toward the bottom of the main drawing.

The football was very difficult for me.
I'm sure you guys would have done it differently and possibly more easily. As I am not allowed to upload the .xar file (something to do with copyright infringements etc. So, I'm told.) otherwise you would see how I tackled the problem. Compared to the usual stuff I see on these sites, how I drew the football is very amateurish!

Anyway, have a look and see what you think?!

Did a bit more work on the football.
Bit better. I'm slightly happier. The gaps bottom right are not so bad now.

Rik, once again, you've done an excellent job at recreating the FIFA World Cup logo for 2014. Has the 2018 location/logo been finalized yet? If it has are you going to take a crack at that logo, if it hasn't maybe you could try your hand at creating a new stylized logo based on the last two.
