Does anyone know if the new Xara Designer Pro 7 will import and work with the old Xara Graphics Pack II files ?
    Thanks,

I don't know, but you can download the free 30-day trial version and find out first hand.

    Hi Sinplumas welcome to Talkgraphics.

Is that the Webstyle IV graphics pack II? If it is that pack, it does not work with Designer Pro 7 or any version other than Webstyle IV.

OK, I just downloaded the trial version of Designer Pro 7, and it is everything that I have loved and worked with the last 10 years or so. It does open, and let you edit the files you created in the MUCH older version.
If the new version had not been able to work with the old files, I would have had to completely recreate from scratch a web site that has over 34 pages.
I am a happy camper with the new version.
    Thanks folks.

Sorry to hijack this thread but it is relevant.

I have a number of "Artworks" CDs in RISCOS format that I would like to use in XDP7
Does anyone know if there is a RISCOS CD format reader for Windows?

If you can still get the PC emulator software you can transfer your files over but you have to have a knowledge of DOS and its pre-windows. If I can remember right just when I gave up RISCOS Castle Technology through ARM developed a better emulator, never saw it, never used it so can't say anything about it but heard about it. Do a search you never know what it will produce and best of luck. Keep us informed as I have a hardisc full of drawings that I could use at this very moment but I think its quicker just to do them again instead of jumping through hoops to get them across.
