when opening xara... what are these splash screens

when opening xara... what are these splash screens... i upgraded & loaded from the disc. do i need them or can i turn them off???

Do you have any previous version of Xara installed by any chance?

Worse comes to worse, you can set the file type registration by hand. Under Control Panel, there's an option for Default Programs. Scroll down to XAR, and make sure that the correct program is set to open those files.

These pop-up till you un-check the do not show box. They register Xara the extensions to open with the Xara product you have installed.
