Default Compatibility: Xara Products and Other Software

    This is the situation:
Xara is the only drawing program that you own and you need to send some vector graphics to someone who doesn't have it. That person has Corel or Adobe products etc. There is the possibility that some elements need to be edited.

Which format would you use to export your work?

The best bet is to export as a .pdf file which is used by Corel, Adobe Illustrator and other programs. Depending on the content of your file, some special effects in Xara may export as bitmaps, otherwise, the vector elements should be editable in any of the above-mentioned programs.

Hi Ricardo, not all programs support the same features of .svg files.

Also if you wish to have another person use a different application to edit the file then send it back to you for further editing a .svg file cannot be imported into a Xara application. Using .pdf is more compatible between different applications.
