    Default DEAD SNAIL SLOW!!!

    This is serious.

very serious - am I missing something?

I've reinstalled xara 7 after new windows install.

And just drawing a box with gradient, outline and shadows is INCREDIBLY SLOW.
When I close the panel on the RHS for layers, I can move things about.
With the layers panel out, it's impossible to use !! it's takes up all processor time!

I installed v6, and no problem - it does not have the slideout panel feature.

I don't understand - this must be a serious bug that people have noticed?

Jesus I so want to use v7 again - but i don't understand what is happening.

    Can someone please help me?

    So I'm stuck with v6.

I don't understand because I don't have that problem. Could you perhaps have something else running at the same time that doesn't want to share?

Move the set view quality slider to left about half way and see if it runs faster. This may lead to something, but not sure!

I tried over and over at 1000% as you asked and I found no problem here, but I'm running windows vista home 32 bit.
Have you down loaded and installed all the updates for your windows version? Almost sounds like something went wrong with your new windows install or your Xara7 install. Have you received your CD yet? When I got mine I uninstalled the DLversion and any folder or file it may have left behind then reinstalled from the CD.Uninstalling the DL took a few minutes, but installing from the CD was fast by comparison. I get the impression that it isn't really necessary to do what I did but I haven't been sorry.

Flexiverse what type of system are you using? Some information about the OS may give us more to go on rather than attempting to guess what may be happening.
