    Default Unretouched

My wife pointed out an advertisement in one of her magazines.
The ad says that, "You're looking at the first unretouched make up ad."
You know. You've all seen the ads where you know that the photo has been PhotoShoped to a point where you know that no-one has complexion like that!

Here's a link where you can see the photo that was in the magazine.

Check it out and see what you think?

Rik in my opinion the photos have not been photoshopped but a very good makeup artist did do the make for the models. The models obviously are wearing makeup which is the subject of the advert.

My second wife was a makeup artist that could make someone look like they were not wearing makeup and still look fabulous or make them look 'made up' to the nines.

    Hi Bill.

    Yes I understand that.
As you say, they're saying that here is our make-up and it's been applied but then the photo has not been PhotoShopped.

Looks like a well-done job with makeup. I once had makeup professionally applied by an artist who worked for Revlon. When she was finished, I could not believe my eyes. My skin not only looked absolutely flawless, but it demonstrated that there are cosmetics and application techniques that affect how the light hits your face and actually change the apparent shape of your face.

I've known women whose complexions are simply gorgeous, with or without makeup. If you want to see a real eye-opener of trickery, though, check out this Dove video, Evolution of Beauty. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knEIM16NuPg

It is amazing what you can do with make up and a bit of photo manipulation. Though it's how you feel on the inside that's the most important.

Exactly. And that's the message young girls really need to hear, and believe, when they see these PhotoShopped images of impossibly beautiful models and celebrities.

And if you treat people ugly, then no amount of PhotoShop can hide that flaw.
