New project ... Shaping wood

I started a new project for my former boss (who is noew in retirement and makes wooden cups and bowls in hand labor)

Only my second site with Xara, would be nice if you guys can give me some feedback and improvement hints!

Brown was chosen as main color in addition to the white text BG ... representing the wood - I am not sure if I want to leave the website name on the bottom of the page (but I guess it looks a little bit empty when there is no object)

I like the deisgn but I have the feeling that something is missing ... maybe another color to add some contrast?

It is a very attractive and well designed site.

I hope your client/ex boss gives you some nice hand made bowls as payment.

hi

was was just having a look around and on the images page i click on some images and they come up but other dont just a small white box with a grey X in it

hope that helps im using google chrome to browse

just checked it in ff and it was fine for me but chrome still the same

I like it, simple and easy for reader to navigate. Same thoughts here on another colour there's a lot of brown. Maybe do something different with the background perhaps use a relatively low contrast wood texture for the actual white website background and something else less strong for the backround of the website. Maybe use little bit more of the same purple from the Lavender in that bowl, placed discreetly.

How did you get the bowls and title onto the background above the website area? I'm trying to find out if its possible to your own graphic for the background and not just the colours.
