shall discontinue Xara X and other products and
concentrate on XARA ONLINE.

Why?
On what do you base that assumption noon?
Xara X and Xara Modules are really too very different operations within Xara.
I have heard nothing that would even remotely back up what you are saying.

I hope I'm wrong Gary,
I like this product and I cant see my self without it.
It is just a feeling >>> so far no updates
no new news on Xara site regarding the products
updates.
I hope Xara Ltd., wont follow the steps of
Metacreations.
I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for updates. Unlike some software companies, Xara Ltd. has not made it a habit to regularly release updates.
When Xara X was developed they took much longer than many of us would have hoped. They made their position very clear though - they would release it when it was stable because they did not intent to join the 'release something - we can always fix the bugs later' mentality. The results IMHO have been pretty good. The program is stable for almost all users. (Sure there are ways to crash it but the techniques necessary are relatively extreme compared with the ways most want to use the program).
There are certainly new features and improvements we'd all like to see. That said, IMHO most users recognize they are only scratching the surface of what they can potentially do with the program. What's not yet in the program aren't 'showstoppers' for many who give the program a fair shake.

I could be all wrong here, but I think the Xara folks are not only good programmers but also shrewd business people.
I imagine they have learned from the life-of-hard-knocks (from their Corel experience) how to keep their labor of love alive. I assume that they are also smart enough to keep things growing, after all although Xara X was introduced "belatedly", look where it is now ... despite an economic environment where dotComs and other graphic applications have slipped by the way-side or gone dormit.
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. There are never any guarantees but consider this: they have a good product and a devote following and a good reputation. They could do a lot worse.
